On one of the days when Trump threatened to invade Greenland, we made a honey ceremony for the American students heading home  after a semester in Denmark. 

The  ceremony has three steps: Make a glass of honey from the bees on the campus. Say thank-you to the bees by pledging to plant a flower. Make a gift to share with one you care for. 

Participants were given flower seeds to plant in Copenhagen before leaving; a phisical offering to the city, it’s people and it’s bees. 

We have made the honey ceremony at festivals, businesses and even supermarkets. It is a powerful way to create a sense of community and responsibility around a place, organisation or experience.
