Bybi is at Sundholm, Copenhagens historical ‘work house’ which is still a municipal shelter for homeless and socially excluded people today. It’s a fascinating place. To find our building, go through the archway into the yard to left of number 34. Up the blue steps and through the green doors.
We are usually here between 10.00-15.00 during the week, but it is a good idea to call in advance to check.

Oliver is an anthropologist who started as a primate researcher in Madagascar, worked in forest protection in Vietnam, trained social entrepreneurs in his hometown Brighton before moving to Copenhagen to start a family in 2007. He started Bybi in 2010.
Aref Haboo

Aref learned beekeeping in a village near Afrin in Northeast Syria, He travelled to Denmark in 2016 and lives with his family just outside Copenhagen. Aref looks after all the bees, moving across the rooftops and secret gardens of the city. He is often joined by an international team of assistants and volunteers.

Honey and Volunteers

Charlotte worked for many years as a stewardess before joining Bybi. She organises activities for our volunteers on tuesdays and has an overview of all the orders in the honey room.
